E.CMF recognizes the inherent nature of organizations and pre-supposes no such organizational structure for its framework to function in a smooth, optimal way. Workflows have been seen to differ drastically across cultures, geographical regions and across organizational perimeters. As if that wasn't enough, organizational workflows are amorphous concepts. They are extremely likely to change given to various market realities. Restructuring, retrenchment, mergers & acquisitions, leaves, best practice adoptions, new skill sets etc are some of the common reasons that are almost immediate causes of workflow alterations within organizations. Sometimes temporarily!
Workflow architecture within the E.CMF is based on a very simple principle, which makes it easy to weave the component inventory around almost any kind of workflows within the customer's operation. The workflow architecture essentially does a 3-way mapping between Content Type, Process (Activities) and People (Roles).
