The Generation Module handles 'content creation' in the E.CMF. A choice driven component library allows customers of the system to address varying creative processes and needs. Depending on the nature of content operation of the customer, they could either adopt a design-tight, templatised intelligent solution or they could choose a freer content creation approach. The former approach normally works well for businesses where Design discipline is key and for streamlined content-production processes, like e-publications, portals, consulting firms etc. The latter is ideal for business operations where flexibility in content design adds value to the business. These would be organizations like publishing houses, news agencies / sites, intranet KMS etc.

| These UIs are HTML / JavaScript forms which are created using existing content form routines. However, as mentioned earlier, the entire control is left to the Design process for the site, which has to have happened prior to the content UI development process. Based on an approved set of design guidelines, user-friendly GUIs are developed specific to the design requirements for web pages on the customer's site. |

Publications, whether physical or on the Internet, typically have design templates which are the essential look & feel elements of the entity. Front-end Considerations such as style, readability and promotions are extremely important from the perspective of design consistency to these businesses. Typically, these operations have at one time or another had to deal with the issue of being able to achieve high level of content design-ability while maintaining consistency for mass production. This precarious balance, though fairly commonplace in the world of print today, is hardly ever seen on the Internet and similar digital domains. Traditionally, it has been an uphill task to develop automated content driven operations on the Net where hi-design considerations have not been significantly compromised. Most CMS products, even today, fall short of this quality by a large measure.
E.CMF has developed a set of components, which makes it possible to create & manage content in large volumes and still not make it look like the publisher doesn't believe in a design department.

On the other hand, in some cases, flexibility of content presentation simply cannot be confined to 'rule' based templates. Some content operations require a lot of flexibility in content display to aid expressive elements of the content or the lack of deterministic nature of certain content types.
In such cases, it is immature to enforce display templates on authors of such content types. Certain document exchanges, specialized varieties of NEWS reporting for example, might require maximum flexibility in the styles of eventual display of content.
E.CMF has developed an OCX based creation system, which makes it possible to create content in large volumes with the high levels of dynamic control over content style.
The Unconstrained Content Creation system in the E.CMF gives a MS Word interface to content producers. This option obviously assumes the presence of MS Word in the PC. This option is ideal to create Rich Text Formatted content using all document formatting features of MS Word. Things like font sizes, font colouring, table creation, para-breaks, and dynamic highlights are extremely easy and familiar actions for developers using this system.
Additionally there are a few features that have been built into the solution which were specially found valuable to web content management jobs. Online Spell Check an Online Keyword Generation.
Spell Check runs a spelling check component on selected text or an entire document. Key word generation routines give the producer an option of assigning keywords by extracting maximum used words in selected text or the entire document.
