| Globally there is a tendency to see content management needs as standardised pick-n-choose requirements of corporates. Multiplatform, multi database, multi layered, WAP enabled, Workflow alignment etc are some of the things being touted by almost all stakeholders of large CMS products. |
| At the turn of the millennium this new buzzword has already taken the world of digital existence by storm. Content Management! The word today conjures up images of standard sized crates being packed, sealed, and loaded on trucks, which are then driven to various locations all over the planet. Well eventually that's what it is, isn't it? Content is Commodity after all!! Today it is possible for anyone with deep pockets (we are really talking about some really healthy budgets, here) to put together an assembly line content operation fairly easily (not always very easily though). Assembly line!! Mass Produced content being carted across all sorts of highways, alleys, dirt lanes etc to all kinds of people of varying colour, creed, language, temperatures and sizes. Like wheat flakes. Everyone likes wheat flakes!! |
